Duplex Life Challenge
Goal: Since The Sims 4 has finally allowed the Locking of doors this Duplex Life Challenge is possible. Ykur goal is to have to separate families living on the same lot in identical homes. Basically mimicking Apartment Life from the Sims 2.
Make enough money to pay the bills and put forth an almost eqaul amount based on. Their income and anything they make for example paintings, fruits. Etc.
The main goal for the main young adult or adults to reach career level 10
Rules:
1. You must make two famlies but in the same "famliy" on create a sim. At least two sims to live on either duplex.
Ex. 1 young adhlt sims named Candy Pierre. and a mother and father with one child named Jeffrey, Louise and Lily Charleston.
2. Ths house must be a duplex. This is two homes on the same lot that are exactly identical in terms of the structure and location of the rooms but the furniture can be different. Your duplex must be At least 90% identical if restricted by the size of the lot. They can either be adjoining meaning they share one wall with no door to enter the other house or they can be built side by side with a shared garden or walk way.
3. Your Sims must be able to pay almost eqaul amount of the bills based on income and sales if they make and sell things. Meaning one sim family should not be paying the majority of the bills. However if one Sim family use's more electronics than the other, a margin of error is allowed.
3. Sims are not allowed in each other's homes. They can interact in the shared spaces on the lot or other lots or by text message.
Tips
If inviting people over, you need to unlock the door before they come on the lot , after you might incur a glitch and they can't enter your house.
Refrigerators: Household will have a shared inventory so try to have your sims prepare different food so you know who cooked what. Your sims might try to get food prepared by someone else so be aware of that.
Parties: This is the only time your sims are allowed in each other's homes. Though if you really want them to never enter, I would suggest having parties on public lots.
